Announcing our 2023 Summer Program

Good Afternoon Discovery Academy Families!

We are so excited to announce that we will be offering a summer program here at Discovery Academy! Our summer program will run from Monday, June 12 to Friday, Aug 4th. We have partnered with Volusia County which means you may be able to send your child to our summer program for an even lower cost through their voucher program. Children must be 5, have completed Kindergarten and can be no older than 14 to use the vouchers, we will accept siblings as young as 4 for the regular price. Our cost is $100 a week, per child. If you do qualify for the voucher, your weekly cost will be $20 a week, per child. There is a $50 registration fee for each child as well.

If you are interested in applying for the county summer program scholarship voucher, you can apply here. You cannot apply before 7:30 am on April 10th! The voucher program through Volusia County is income based and you will need to supply proof of household size, the most recent report card (we can help with that), and proof of household income for the last 30 days. There is more information on their website as well.

If you are using the vouchers, you will have attendance mandates (you cannot miss more than 2 days a week), but if you are paying completely out of pocket you do not have to commit to the entire summer, you can opt for certain weeks or days to participate. When you sign up with us, you will be given a calendar to mark the weeks/days your child will be here.

To sign up for the summer program, come see one of us in the office and we will give you the calendar to mark your dates and we will put you on our list! We are so excited and cannot wait to begin!

On another note, we now have a school cell phone that you will be able to text, call, or email. That number is 386-222-2815, this will be the contact number during the summer program as well as during school hours.
